Right after the new PNM feature that we presented in our last post another hot new feature was integrated into NMS Prime. Now it’s possible to view the locations of all technicians in the field. That means that – if they allow the geolocalization in their browser settings or on their smartphone (via GPS) – every users position will be displayed in form of a truck on the map. Also the last time the user made a request is shown as a pop up. This will first be shown in the PNM map which will be available from version 2.5.5 and can be reached by left clicking a bubble in the ERD view. See the picture below.
That allows you as an ISP to manage the truck rolls more easily and efficiently. And this is just the beginning. In future data like the ticket why the technician is most probably there will directly be linked to the truck.
And if you have doubts related to privacy – as i already said – it’s totally on your own if you want to use this feature. You can easily disable your GPS or the geolocalization in your browser.
